The mysterious wreckage of a vessel cf About 100 tons register which was sighted by the Kapiti a few days ago oil Kahurangi Point is believed to bo the remains of the lost stsamer Centennial. About November, 1906, the Centennial disappeared whilst ■bound from Launceston to Wellington. She had been purchased by Mr J. Corry, jun,, of Rapier, and others, for use as a trawler. Capiain Corby, of the Kapiti, says that the wreckage seemed to have been a long while »drift.
