Strip Search ‘Humilitating’
Workers at The Bank of Western Samoa say they were “completely demoralised and humiliated” after police strip-searched them in an effor to find U 552,200 missing from the bank on October 21. The workers blame the bank’s management for allowing the police to use these methods. The management would not comment on their role in the search procedures at the time, apart from saying they asked the police "to invesitgate”. Police involved in the strip-search have been accused of joking about it in public. None, of the missing money was found on the bank workers.
