28 November 1848 Go off, my letter, to Wairarapa, that is, to Otaraia, to Kemp Sir, Greetings to you. I've another message for you. There is only one part that the Wairarapa people alone can give and that is Moawiti; and the one who represents Moawiti is me. Those of Te Kotukutuku are still alive, and those of Te Rangitumau are still alive; and those from other Maori lands are still alive. And we are all well.
