The ship "Eden" from Gravesend, 148 days, Captain Murdock, with fifty six passengers for this place, has arrived at Wauganui. Nothing, I hear, was known about the New Zealand Company, except that another vessel wat to follow shortly, with more people for thla settelment. I went to Poharama yesterday; and after the usual tedious nature of a native runanger, he consented to restore Henwood's horse to-morrow. Strange to say, Paratene, the leader of
