Napier April 22nd 68, Sir, It is with the utmost regret that I have to bring before your notice the fact that repeated applications to the Heads of the Department have hitherto failed to procure for me a License as Surveyor under "Nat. Lands Acts" altho' upwards of twelve months have elapsed since my first application - This unprecedented delay is of the utmost possible disservice to my professional prospects - Having carefully carried out every instruction on the subject furnished to me by the Government, I beg most respectfully to solicit that you will favorably represent my case to notice in the proper quarter. The five pounds fee chargeable on the issue of a Surveyors License has been forward some months since to the Inspector of Surveys Office Auckland. I have the Honor to be, Sir, Your most obed. servt. George B. Worgan To His Honor D. McLean Esq.
