Accomodation House 14 November 1874 My dear Donald Your letters came to hand this day and I was truly pleased at there contents regarding the natives. As for the other part I cannot find words to express my joy at the way the dinner went off and your speech & Ormond's was all I could wish. I was going down on Monday to see you on particular busness but as McKenzie met me here on his way to the cottage for your trap, if you are coming up I will defair going if you are to be on Monday but as I have got the shaft repaired I may run down on Monday as what I have to see you about is of some importance. It relates to McDugald's run & I am so pleased that Douglas is come. All together providence is grate. The fine rain you had did not last any time here but we must be thankful for small mercies. Condie is busy shearing. I did not see him today but went to see old Archy who has been very bad with a cold but he said my cure has made him better. I think perhaps if you did take over McDugald's run that terms could be made for it that would pay. Yours always affectionately Archibald John McLean
