Dear McLean, I am very sorry to be prevented from going in to office this morning but cannot help myself, having taken a severe cold of which my stiff neck was one of the first symptoms. I was in bed all day yesterday - am better this morning and hope by keeping close to get rid of the fever and pain by tomorrow. The Governor wants copies of W.B. White's report - the Memo. about the Panawe with out reports - to send to the Sec. of State - also the recent petition to the Queen with the minutes of the Native office. Yours sincerely Thos. H. Smith. Onehunga Monday. Mar. 4/61.
