Napier 1 Nov. 1867. His Honor D. McLean Esqr. Sir, In reply to your kind enquiry as to the price I ask for our Runs, now united into one, and the particulars of the property I beg to inform you that as our partnership is now coming to a close Col McNeill and I are disposed to take £50,000 clear of expences of transfer etc. for the land, Run, stock; improvements buildings and plant, and that we are willing to make the terms to suit purchasers. We should like £20,000 in cash or within one year, but if important to the purchaser would take one third of the whole in cash. The rest may remain at 8 per cent as long as required (except £7000 an existing mortgage) on security of the property. I hope the price will be thought moderate when the compactness and size of the block are considered, and the opportunity it affords to parties desiring a large freehold to convert it all into fee simple now that all the agricultural land is bought and all that is best, and all that is most exposed including all the road and river frontages of the pastoral land. Rissington station. 36000 acres freehold 56000 acres Govt. Run 20000 acres sheep 200 acres cattle The Run will carry easily 50,000 sheep but our means have never sufficed to buy extra stock, as we have had to make expensive and valuable improvements and have sold sheep every year. Bullock and horse teams young plough horses riding horses etc.etc. implements plant etc. of every kind good substantial buildings a 12 roomed house stabling etc. yards for cattle and sheep. Outstations etc. some 30 miles of fencing, more than 1000 acres of laid down English grass and a great deal of surface sown English pasture. We would give up the Station complete with everything except Mrs. Whitmore's furniture riding horses my pure shorthorn cattle (9) and small flock of Leicester sheep. I append a rough sketch to show the boundaries. The numbers above are approximate only. I am, Your obedt. Servant, G. S. Whitmore
