Clyde Wairoa December 28th. 1868 Dear Sir, I beg to enclose list of the widows and children of our Scouts, according to your expressed wish. We have news from one Force, who appear to be at Whataroa, - or at any rate, a portion, - in pursuit of a party under Himimona, supposed to be about forty in number, principally women and children. The information respecting this party has been gathered from some old people captured at Orewha. I have only native report for this; further, that the party proceed to Puketapu on leaving Whataroa. Nothing fresh from Poverty Bay. I have the honor to remain dear Sir, Your obedient servant (Signed) Geo. Worgan. To:- His Honor D. McLean Esq. Napier.
