Letter to the Honble. A Domett, from S. Eyre, Government House, dated 24th. April 1849. COPY. My dear Sir, Will you be good enough to write the letter founded on the accompanying Minute for Mr. McLean, as early as you can, and send it to the Police Office with a request that the Sergeant will send it out by the very first opportunity. The letter should be addressed to Whonganui, but the carrier should be directed to deliver it anywhere on the line of road, if Mr. McLean has come down the Coast again. It should not, therefore, be put in the Post Bag. Probably the best way will be to send it by special messenger, as the subject is important, and should be adjusted with as little delay as possible. Yours faithfully E. [or J.] Eyre. Government House, 24th. April 1849.
