Wellington May 16th I had a wonderful letter from Mrs Scully. I am going to send for Mary to spend the day tomorrow My dear Donald We were glad to get your letter and thanks for the ham. They are very good indeed. Mr Gollan and Morris dined with us last night. Mr Strang came to see me yesterday with Douglases letters. He is improving fast now. Robert has written to him. Have not seen the Judge since his arrival. My wrist the (sprain) is most troublesome to me so you must excuse my short letter. How do you like the silk dress which I sent to Annabella by the Judge. I have not had a line from her. Robert desires me to say that we quite expect you to bring Annabella with you when you come. I think that she will be better with me than at the station that is to say if she likes to make herself feel at home. I had a letter from Archy and from the state of mind that he seems to be in makes me some what anxious. Can nothing be done to make him feel more settled. The Manawatu business is giving great dissatisfaction to the people here. In haste always Yours Catherine Hart
