Dear McLean, I think I could be of more use in the Council during the discussions etc. that are likely to take place with regard to this Province in the coming Session, than in my present office, and as you said you would have me reappointed if at any time I desired it whilst you were in office, I should be glad if you would now do so. Of course I understand that in such case I should have to resign the Inspectorship, but I shall be happy to give you all the help you may require until you can make other arrangements.
