Wellington April 29th Mrs Hart My dear Donald The steamer not having gone yesterday give an opportunity of writing a few lines today. I saw Mr Strang yesterday. He is well. The Judge has taken up a present for Annabella and I am sending my man down with two small boxes to be taken by steamer. The one is cuttings and plants, the other contains vegetables which I know are scarce with you. I am glad you have rain at last and also thankful to see by the home news that wool is going up. I shall make Robert write soon to Douglas again. I see R writes such nice interesting letters that I think it will be good for Douglas to keep up correspondence with him. I am thankful to hear that Annabella is so well. I see by the tone of her letter that all goes well now that you are home but all the time you were away they were very growlie. Mr George Hart has had hooping cough. He is coming up soon for a change. We are to dine at the Prendergrasts on Friday. I gave Mr Kennedy a nice little dinner party which he seemed to enjoy. I suppose that your Consil will soon meet. I see that Taraha is elected for the Assembly. I am always your affec. Sister Catherine Hart Robert is quite well and busy in the office
