My dear Mr. McLean, As soon as the road question is settled would you be so kind as to let us know as soon as possible. Mr. Cooper is away gone to "Castlepoint" and consequently cannot be at home in time to see about the matter. If it is decided in our favor (which I trust may be the case) will you direct Mr. Weber to stop the works inside the fencing immediately as every day the men continue at work is a heavy loss to us: if Mr. Cooper, as I suppose will be the case, will have to bear the expense of any work that may have been done already. If however it should be settled that the road is still to go through the paddock, I should wish to know at once that we may directly put up gates - for as the matter stands at present any captions individual has it in his power to break open our fence, which is anything but desirable - I fear you will think I am giving you a great deal of trouble - but when at our house last you so kindly offered to do anything you could for my husband that I have written without hesitation to you as a friend being anxious to avoid any further loss in the matter if possible. Mr. Weber being rather annoyed about the affair might not be in a great hurry (unless arged by you) to expedite the removal of the road from our improvements. With kind regards to Miss McLean Believe me Very truly yours G. C. Cooper Woodlands April 9th /63
