Government House New Zealand Decr. 8, 1871 . If it is true that the "Luna" is to take Vogel and his family to Auckland, she had better bring down Col. Feilding, who has proposals to make about Emigration, and who is to reach Auckland by the "Hero" about the 11th inst. After the return of the "Luna" here, I wish, as I have already told you, to make my official visit to Marlborough, the only Province wh. I have not yet visited. Lady Bowen desires to accompany me there. I suppose that March is a good month for Taupo; - I wish very much to ride from there to the Waikato or to Maketu, as may be found easiest. Of course, this latter tour is impracticable for ladies at present. Very truly yrs. G. F. Bowen
