Wednesday Napier My dear McLean I suppose you have no news from our front --It appears that the abandonment of Wanganui by our sage ruler is bearing fruit -- I trust good will come out of all this apparent evil and the much enduring settlers will at length take everything into their own hands and thrust forcibly aside a Govt. that is working wide spread ruin.
