2 August 1858 Waipuriki My dear brother I send you a few lines by Ferguson who is going up in a hurry to have something to say in the Generall Assembly. He is getting a great man hear. I shall not say much hear this time. I never got the account till the moment he was going away and he had to call on me for one hundred pounds which I hope you will pay when convenient. I am much grieved at the present time to troubble you for money but I can not help as my mind is easy that all the money I had was not spent foolis[h]. I am glad to tell you that I have sold Titiacuro and I am to get £500.0.0 in six weeks from From this time. The one halfe of the money is mine and the other halfe Mrs Gray. I take the sheep again on the same term which is far better for me than if I had kept the place. I shall be able to send you some money when I get this as I must no you want the money lately. Your expences has been a great deall. I am vexed to hear but it can not be helped. I have sold some wether to Rich. I do not no the number till I get home but he will not be alble to pay for them till he kills them that I am to lay out in the homestead and all land that may be wantted or so as to secure the run. I hop I shall have that done before long. All hear is going on well. The sheep will soon be lambing. I have not sent you last year's return of lambs but I have it readey to send. I have been at my own place the other day. The only time since I saw you. All is right their. I was glad to se Archy hear the other day. He has been unwell since he came hear. I have been atending him since he came but he is a little better than he was. I hope I shall be alble to get him home this week. I have not got your letter. He has them in his box and he could not get there. I am anxious to get your letters to se what you say abbout him. I shall do the best I can for all. As Ferguson is leaving I have no time to spare but when I get your letter I shall send you all the particulars. Ferguson is very kind. Mind me to Mr Rogan and tell I should like to se him at Napier.
