2 June 1864 Glenorchy My dear Donald I send you the book and Twigg and I hope you will not keep him long away from me as I have comenced a good deal of usful work. I was obliged to stay at Omahu Pa last night but got home today all safe with my charge at 11 am and found all well. Tell Kate that Mr Gray is coming up to stay with me to help me with planting trees for a week and will be here next week and if she is coming up she might as well be here. He is a good old fellow. In haste always your attached brother Archibald John McLean [on verso] You ought to get clear of McKenzie. I think it would be better as he is only keeping a better man out of a place. You know all about him yourself now. I cannot mind everything, see and do what you can for Annabella for there is no time to lose. A J McLean Donald McLean Esq Napier Forwarded by Mr Twigg
