Wellington Jany 24 My dear Donald I asked Robert to write to you requesting Douglases arrival which he tells me he has done but I thought you would like to have a few lines from me too. Yesterday we called upon Mr & Mrs Tollemache who are both looking remarkably well. They seemed so pleased to see us and congratulated Hart & myself on our marriage. Mrs Tollemache tells me that Douglas will require nourishment and great care, and although he looks well, and feels well that he is far from strong. He is a dear kind boy and the same sweet look that he used to have. He is staying with his grandpapa but comes down here every day and being holiday time George Park and he goes out together. We have got a cow in our padock now and Douglas seems to enjoy the new milk so I hope untill it is convenient for you to have him that you will allow him to remain with me. I feel anxious about you just now and trust soon to hear of your safe return from Tauranga. I had a great big dream about you lately & a "good one". We enjoyed our visit to the south. John so nice and kind to us and your name son little Donald is a fine child. I am in haste Yours afftely Catherine Hart
