Cambridge 18th. February 1870 My dear Sir, I received the information respecting the breaking up of Te Kooti's people into three parties, from young Mr. Buckland, who lives on a Cattle Run about five miles south of Cambridge; and the Station is visited almost daily by King Natives. Mr. Buckland does not wish his name to appear. I am inclined to think that the presence of so large a force at Tapapa, was the cause of the King's people mustering at Tokangamutu. I have not yet received your letter from Tauranga. I remain, My dear Sir, Yours very truly (Signed) W. Moule To:-- The Hon. D. McLean Native and Defence Minister Auckland.
