I was only just in time to keep you out of some trouble and to maintain the character of our Department the case I allude to endangered your appointment also an execution was about being forwarded to apprehend you for a paltry sum of Money due to "Allerton" I have taken upon me to pay the sum and expences therson amounting in all to £10.3.0 ten pounds three shillings. There was no alternative I was necessitated either to do that or spoil your usefulness I have done it and hope you will approve of it and authorize Dr.Binclair to reserve that sum out of your Salary.
