Taurarua, 14 Dec., 1860. My dear Mr. McLean, I shall be very glad to see you at any time you may have to spare. Meanwhile, I send a copy of my Remarks on the Taranaki affair. You will perceive that, on several points, I have controverted your results: but I heartily trust you will find nothing to pain you in the manner of my discussion.
