Glenorchy Nov 19th/74 My dear Donald Accept of my very best thanks for the handsome dress you ordered for me when last in Napier. Be assured I shall value it. I am sorry I shall not have the pleasure of seeing you again this time. I hope Douglas will be able to stay for a few weeks. He is looking rather thin and I think the change would do him good. I have a favour to ask. Will you call upon my neice Fanny if you can spare the time. She is a high spirited little creature and I know would esteem a call from you an honour. Besides all the leading people in Napier call upon her. Should you find time to call I shall consider it a kindness done to myself. I remain very sincerely yours Catherine I McLean
