Brooklands May 18th. 1847. My dear Sir, I have just recd. your note with an a/c current without a signature and not properly headed, but we can easily set it right to morrow. I think you are right in getting the signatures to the Deed for the Ouranga land, and if you consider it safe to pay over the Balance of the one hundred pounds you can do so, but you had better take one of your men to witness it. What we most want you have omitted to furnish and it wd. be desirable to have it before you go South - that is the copy of the Deed for our present Block of Land with the names of the several witnesses to the payments as the Auditor General will expect it by our next overland Mail I am quite pleased to hear a favorable a/c of Bolland and hope he will yet weather the storm and soon appear amongst us again. Yours truly, Henry King. To: Donald McLean Esq. Inspector of Police New Plymouth
