Wallingford June 7th /63 Dear McLean, W. Speedy of Wainui has written me saying he will take the Sheep Inspectorship for the Southern boundary which I offered him on your authority. Will you have him gazetted and instructed to do what the new Ord. provides (if assented to) the only other instruction he will require is, to report to the inland Inspector (by first Mail) that he has examined this or that flock and say what he has done with them. As he is an uneducated person it wd. be well to write him to report in a certain form of words given him in his letter on Instructions - as - I have examined _____s flock of sheep, this_____ day of _____, and given a certification that they are clean. or after the last blanks, "have refused to pass them as clean" - I have only written this to save you trouble, Yours always, J. D. Ormond
