My dear McLean, I give this letter to a young chief named Arapata who with his wife, a daughter of the late Te Heuheu and their baby were to have gone to Wellington with me - He unfortunately burnt himself in a Ngawha - I have therefore told them to go to Napier, and to give this letter to you, when they will receive a set of clothes each for themselves, and a warm dress for the baby will you do this for me.
