Nelson, 9th. April, 1856. My dear Sir, Will you oblige me by sending a list of natives to whom I may give copies of these reserves in the Sound and other places. They are often coming home and I tell them I will give no plan without your sanction. Also please send word about Massacre Bay for I am waiting for your instructions to go over these because I find that all memorandum were taken away by you. I have been over with Major Richmond and made a new list and I think correct but should like the original . You will hear of the gold in Massacre Bay but I believe it is all humbug. However I shall go over directly on the return of the steamer. I am yours, etc., Thos. (Burnett.) Brunner? 24th April 1856
