18 April 1859 Port Napier Dear brother I take the oportunity of writing you a few lines by the Eiezer to let you know that I am well. Hopeing this will find you the same. I am glad to tell you that I heard from Gollan that your boy and Mr Strang was well when he left Wellington the other day. He tells me Douglas is growing a fine stout boy. I have come down from your run last night and I am going to return there this evening. Your sheep is doing well on the run. I am afraid that Munn will not be alble to meet your bill when it is due. You shall have perhaps to renew the one halfe of it for three month longer. If you wish me to get goods from Munn for your station I shall do so if not let me no. I am afraid your run is to be proclaimed suburban lands or within the limits of the hundred. If that is the case your run is little or no use to you. However you shall have some of my rough country that shall never be bought. I have put some applications in for places as good as your[s] but not so convenient. I have drawn an order on you this day payable to Munn or bearer wich I hope you will be alble to meet in Auckland. I have deposited some money for runs and other goods for your station wich you shall have a bill when I can. Cooper has sold me some horses but he has not got the money as yet and as soon as he getts the money I shall send you. Alle runs hear are not to be lost sigh[t] of at the present time. I hope you shall be alble to meet Munn's order as he is hard up for cash in Auckland and I have sent you a letter by the Captain of the 'Eiezer'.
