Camp Te Tawa 21st Jany. 1866. My dear Sir I am glad to hear of your safe arrival and look forward anxiously to seeing you here tomorrow. I was all ready to come down to you, but as the Boat goes back to bring you up, and I have a great deal to do in the writing way now that fighting is over, and back pen work has to be pulled up, I have thought it best to wait for your arrival here to see you. I trust you are quite well and will approve of our actions here - I am sorry to say Biggs is not at all well and has applied for two months leave. His health has suffered very much from his exertions, more than he will admit. All the rest of us are hale and jolly. Believe me, My dear Sir Yours very faithfully and sincerely James Fraser
