Mr. Harry Lauder acted as one of the judges in a hundred-guinea competition for the best soldiers’ marching song organised by a firm of music publishers. The photograph shows Mr. Lauder with a big armful of entries. As there were more than 10,000 competitors, the Scotch comedian had no easy task.
