E. Denton, photo. (1) The Old Post Office at Foxton. (2) The new building, which was officially opened by Mr Edward Newman, M. P., last week. The Hon. Dr. Findlay was unable to proceed to Foxton owing to the road from Feilding being unfit for motoring, and the ceremony was performed instead by the member for the district. (3) The staff of the Foxton Office, with Mr Clemett, postmaster, sitting in the centre. (4) A group of councillors and others who attended the ceremony. Reading two from the left in the front row the names are: Mr F. Purnell (President Marton Chamber of Commerce), Mr Edward Newman, M.P., Mr Stiles (Mayor of Foxton), Mr J. G. Wilson (Manawatu County Council).
