W. SMITH, THE NEW PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH BILLIARDS CHAMPION, who created a sensation on the first night of the final heat with C. Falkiner with a brilliant unfinished break of 709, which, next day, he increased to 785, beating his own previous best compilation of 736. SMITH, who defeated Falkiner in the final heat by 1500 points, is seen playing a shot in the semi-final of the Billiards Championship against NEWMAN.
