OPENING THE NEW REMUERA SCHOOL. MR. PARR AND THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE. The new public school in Market Road, Remuera, was opened on Saturday by the chairman of the Education Board. Mr. C. J. Parr. The new school, one of the finest of its kind in New Zealand, cost £4,500 to erect, whilst the site was bought for £2.000. A memorial consisting of a handsome marble drinking fountain, to the memory of the late Mr. R. B. Heriot, for 17 years headmaster of the school, was unveiled by the Rev. W. Beatty.
