Dr Hugh Kawharu of Massey University presents Kemara Tukukino of Ma-wai-hakona with the new trophy for diction. It was given by the Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Mrs Whetu Tirikatene-Sullivan on behalf of the Tirikatene family. Wellington Maori Competitions Doris Brown and John Wikaira, members of Te Kahui Rangatahi, receive the Sir Apirana Ngata trophy for the highest aggregate points, from Dr Hugh Kawharu. This is a tremendous achievement for this young club as it is only three years since it was formed.
