DRUM ’N’ BASS CONSPIRACY (Auckland) Very smart tape — some top | tracks put together extreme- j ly well. There is some intelli- | gent and intricate mixing ■ involved, although the sound ! quality is a little murky. REVIEWS . DJ OMNI (Auckland) Omni has chosen to give a j history lesson with his tape. | Strictly old school hardcore, | it fucking rocks. Mostly I excellent mixing of the | rawest breaks from the j years hardcore was ignored, i DJ FLIC (Wellington) Flic’s' mixing of half speed . trip-hop grooves with drum | ’n’ bass is smooth and inno- i vative, making a varied tape I that flows wonderfully. MANU GREER (Wellington) A very accomplished tape from someone who know j how to create an audio jour- i ney, starting with an epic piece of ambient dub. before moving into some dark and | twisty jungly bits. DJ MU (Wellington) A sublime mash-up of a : musical tapestry, coming together beautifully, with j mixing right on the money | everytime.
