Moaner Moan
In regard to Hannay’s letter in issue 208, I would like him to stop bloody moaning. Sure, his band (Hanging Tree) does not get the attention it deserves, but isn’t it more profitable to find out why, rather than getting your knickers in a twist every media chance you get?
Hawkes Bay music will go places, but, if Hannay insists on being our spokesman, the industry won’t bat an eyelid unless he shows some optimism as well as his well known perseverance. Windows in Wonderland is a great tape. Now the job is to promote it, not wait for people to buy it out of sympathy for some “cheated on, misquoted and patronised” musician. I look forward to the next tape. Brian’s Hangover, Hawkes Bay.
