NEIL'S GOT A BRAND NEW BAND
After a European tour Neil Young will record an album in • Nashville with his current band Booker T and the MGs, the 60s soul session group from the Memphis Stax studio that backed Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Wilson Pickett. In San Francisco Neil encored with Redding's 'Dock of the Bay' and 'All Along the Watchtower'. NME reviewer Steve Sutherland wrote "Absurd as it may sound considering his long pedigree, this band may be the best Young's ever played with."
