SEPULTURA

I'm writing in comment on the Sepultura gig. Excellent concert, anyone who was there would agree, but what I want to know is when are our closed-minded venue owners and promoters going to pull their heads out of their asses and have a look at the real music scene to do with thrash. It was blatantly obvious there wasn't going to be any stagediving from the distance between the stage and the crowd. Why don't these people open their eyes and minds? Stagediving is as much a part of a thrash gig as sex is to rabbits. What do they think we were going to do, rush up and mob the band? All this shit about stagediving and moshing being dangerous and violence promoting is rubbish. Anyone who gets pissed off with people bumping into them or landing on them shouldn't be anywhere near the pit. The stagediving bit on In Focus the other night was very supportive and correct in what it said. New Zealand is so backward it's not funny and to the *"!*& who tried to punch out a friend of mine for no reason — GO DIE! Your respective mosher RJR
