AUCKLAND: The Boardwalk Bar (ex-Dog Club) is back as a regular venue, now organised by Sharon from the Gluepot. $250 secures PA, newspaper ad and security. Sharon says the bar has a 24-hour, seven day a week license, so breakfast gigs are an option. She's also organising a solo acts night on Thursdays, for which she has booked Andrew Fagan and Frankie, Chris Knox and Jan Hellriegal. Cabaret, comedy and poetry type evenings are also a possibility. Next month's big happening is Rotate Your State at the Gluepot, 25 June. Brought to you by Michael Hodgson, the event promises a mixture of film, video and music from the likes of Tinnitus, Compulsory Joy, Theatre of Alchemy, New Flesh, Godstar, Affliction Addiction and others.
