THOMPSON TWINS Big Trash : Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie are back on the scene with Big Trash, cco-produced by Steve Lillywhite. They look at America, pop icons, media and romance through their unique spectacles and insinuating rhythms. Debby Harry is a guest on vocals and prime cuts are ‘Sugar Daddy’, ‘Rock This Boat’ and ‘Queen of the USA'.

JANE SIBERRY Bound by the Beauty Another compelling, challenging collection of unusual originals, following in the footsteps of her highly acclaimed The Walking. The LP is mixed by studio ace Kevin Killen (Kate Bush, Costello’s Spike) and is further bold career step for the unique Ms Siberry. :

DANIEL LANOIS Acadie " The producer of U2’s monumental albums and recordings by Peter Gabriel, Robbie Robertson, the Neville Brothers and Bob Dylan. Lanois did his album in New Orleans as he worked on recordings by the Nevilles and Dylan. Guest performers on the album include Brian Eno, members of U2, the Neville Brothers and other artists from Brian Eno’s Opal label. Aaron Neville sings back-up on The Maker’ and is featured voice on ‘Amazing Grace'.

SWANS The Burning World Along with Sonic Youth, with whom they've toured, Swans have been the acknowledged leaders of New York City’s cutting edge indie music scene. lggy Pop said of a CBGB Swans gig, “Something very special and not very nice was going on.” Co-produced by Bill Laswell, this is yet another new ‘evolutionary stage for the Swans, marking the ascendancy of vocalist Gira as a songwriter. Powerful, stark -and hauntingly beautiful.

STEVE STEVENS ATOMICPLAYBOYS The fiery ace guitar player behind Billy Idol's hits ‘'White Wedding', ‘Rebel Yell’ etc, is back with his own band — vocalist Perry McCarty, drummer Thommy Price and keyboards Phil Ashley. Hot rocking stuff here produced by Beau Hill (Ratt) includes the Sweet oldie ‘Action’ and ‘Atomic Playboys’.

RANDY NEWMAN Parenthood Movie Soundtrack A wonderful, new filmscore by Randy Newman. The Natural was an earlier hit movie soundtrack by Newman. Parenthood stars Steve Martin as a yuppie parent striving for perfection in modern day child-rearing. Evocative, essential Randy Newman.

UNDERWORLD Change the Weather A strong follow-up to last year’s massive hit ‘Underneath the Radar’ that brought them downunderto Australia. Change the Weather picks up where their prior LP left off, with strong writing, an engaging rhythm and a different persepective. Key songs are ‘Stand Up/, the fitle track and Thrash’.

CHRISTY MOORE i ; Voyage . The most influential Irish artist of the past two décades, singing songs of love and of Ireland’s troubles, with subtlety and insight. Christy Moore has been idolised by peers, fans and critics. His devotees include Bono of U2 and Pogues’ Shane McGowan. A magical album with guests including Phil Everly, Jerry Donahue (Fairport ; Convention), Bernie Leadon (Eagles), Neil McCall (Bible) and James Hooker (Amazing Rhythm Aces).

GEOFFREY WILLIAMS ; Prisoner of Love The second album from English singer / songwriter Geoffrey Williams who has European success with his debut LP Heroes, Spies & Gypsies.
