David Bowie Serious Moonlight (Metro Video) For those of you who couldn’t stand the crowds, couldn’t get a babysitter, couldn’t afford it or couldn’t get close enough to see a damn thing, here is the visual record of the concert tour, filmed in Canada. You get 90 minutes of music and most of it sounds just right. Sharp but unimaginative photography, sound is fine and the stage effects are outstanding. Basically, a straightforward and entertaining live concert film. Stereo too. Blow-Up (MGM/PBL) Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1966 vision of 'Swinging London' is a curiosity, both in the collecting sense, and in its plot (if there is one). David Hemmings is a fashion photographer unravelling a mystery of a kind, Vanessa Redgrave is a woman with a secret. The film draws on conclusions and survives largely for its visual appeal. Telefon (MGM/PBL) Charles Bronson plays his one character part in a spy thriller’ (the classification in no way endorses the product) with Lee Remick and Donald Pleasance. KGB Man, KGB Man's Helper and Lunatic respectively. A semiprobable tale of drug-program-med deep cover agents, walking time bombs, and one man bent on setting them off. My Favourite Year (MGM/PBL) Peter O’Toole delights in a sentimental comedy set in the television world of the 19505. A has-been star signs up for a guest spot on a live comedy show, then proceeds to raise hell, unwillingly aided by the script writer (Mark Linn-Baker) assigned to guard him.
