No. 208, 1932-33. —Petition of the United Fire Brigades Association of New Zealand. Praying that the privilege of free railway travel previously extended to members of the Association when travelling to attend annual meetings be restored. I am directed to report that, in view of the great economic value of the services rendered by the United Fire Brigades Association of New Zealand, the Committee, notwithstanding a matter of Government policy is involved, is of the opinion that the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. 22nd November, 1933.

No. 306, 1932-33. —Petition of J. Munro, of Lochiel. Praying for a refund of Stamp duty. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. 29th November, 1933.

No. 239. —Petition of Annie L. Matheson, of Auckland. I am directed to report that the Public Petitions M to Z Committee has passed the following resolution : That the proceedings of the Committee during the taking of evidence on the petition of Annie I/. Matheson be open to accredited representatives of the press, and that the Chairman do report this resolution to the House, and move the adoption thereof by the House." Bth December, 1933.
