Island Bay Domain, Wellington Land District. An irregularly shaped island situated in Block XI., Port Nicholson Survey District. Area, 8 acres. This domain consists of a rocky island situated in Island Bay. No improvements have been effected. Kaiapoi Domain, Cantebbdby Land District: Reserves Nob. 74 and 3658, Blocks XV. and XVI., Rangiora Survey District. Area, 137 acres and 32 perches. Work done during year : A thousand forest-trees planted, 2 acres prepared for grass lawns, fences repaired, flower-beds and walks cleaned, and 16 chains of embankment erected to keep back the overflow from the Waimakariri River. Fifty pine-trees were removed from the plantation. Improvements now on domain : All fenced, gates erected on all sides, plantation, walks, flower-beds, large ponds stocked with water-fowl and fish, artesian water-supply, shed, copper boiler, and two retiring-rooms. Used for picnics and general recreation. Kaikoura Domain, Marlborough Land District. Section No. 2 of 267, Suburbs of Kaikoura, and Sections Nos. 2, 346, and 349, Block X., Mount Fyfie Survey District. Area, 81 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Eighty acres leased for grazing purposes. An effort to obtain a water-supply by means of a pump was unsuccessful. Improvements now on domain : Two buildings, latrines, plantation of pine-trees, and fences. Used for athletic sports and horse-racing. It is proposed to close the road through the domain owing to it crossing the only piece of level ground suitable for sports. The new line of road will be laid off along the seaward side of the domain. Kaitangata Domain, Otago Land District. Sections Nos. 1 to 15, Block XXVI., and 5, Block XLVI., Town of Kaitangata. Area, 68 acres 1 rood 38 perches. During the year the portion of the domain used for recreation purposes was levelled and drained, 3 acres has been levelled, and the centre filled in to make an area suitable for athletic sports. Improvements now on domain: Fences, hedges, gates, drains, plantations, lawns, and walks. Used for general public recreation, football, cricket, and Caledonian sports. Kaitawa Domain, Wellington Land District. Suburban Section No. 13, Town of Kaitawa. Area, 15 acres and 36 perches. Leased on improvement conditions. W'ork done during year: Construction of drains. Ini provements now on domain : Fifty-nine chains fences, 6 chains drains, 2£ acres laid down in grass, and half-acre plantation. Used for picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Completion of drains, completion of fences around plantation, further tree-planting, and stumping and ploughing 1 acre. Karitanb Domain, Otago Land District. Section No. 2, Biock XXIV., Town of Waikouaiti. Area, 16 acres 2 roods. Work done during year: Small plantation formed, marram-grass planted, protective works extended to prevent inroads by the sea. Improvements now on domain: Five plantations securely fenced with rabbit-proof fences, sand-breaks, protective works, and extensive plantation of marram-grass. Used for picnics and general public recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Marram-grass planting, erection of further protective works, aud improvements to Waikoua'iti River by removal of rocks, and formation of retaining-wall. Katikati Domain, Auckland Land District. Sections Nos. 25 and 26, Katikati Parish. Area, 185 acres 2 roods. Ten acres leased. Used for picnics, camping, and regattas. It is also frequented by fishingparties. T _^ Kawakawa Domain, Auckland Land District. Section No. 47, Ruapekapeka Parish. Area, 14 acres 3 roods. Leased on improvement conditions. Work during year : Six acres sown in grass, and noxious weeds eradicated Improvements now on domain: Fences, plantation, and grassing. Used for grazing and for sports when required. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Further grassing, and eradication of noxious weeds. Kelso Domain, Otago Land District. Sections Nos. 13 to 17, Block 111., Town of Kelso. Area, 11 acres 2 roods 15 perches. Four acres leased on improvement conditions. Used for sports and picnics. The domain is partly fenced and planted with trees. Khandallah Domain, Wellington Land District. Allotments 2 and 3of Sections Nos. 1 and 2, Block XL, Belmont Survey District. Area, 31 acres 1 rood. Work done during year: A path 30 chains in length from eastern entrance to the top of principal ridge was graded and cut. Improvements now on domain : Forty chains of post-and-
