(Circular No. 13. J. 94/715.) Memorandum for Official Assignees. I am directed by the Minister of Justice to forward the enclosed list of newspapers in which Government notices are to be published, in substitution of the list forwarded with Circular No. 9, of the 22nd March, 1893. Advertisements are to be published alternately in the newspapers named in the list and circulating in the district to which the notice relates. In the case of weekly papers Assignees must use their own discretion, so that, while no unfairness is done to these papers, no undue delay in publication of the notice shall take place. With this addition, Circular No. 9, of the 22nd March, 1893, remains in force. C. J. A. Haselden, Department of Justice, Under-Secretary. Wellington, 27th July, 1894. [Vide list attached to Colonial Secretary's Circular, September, 1894.]

(J. 93/326. Circular No. 9.) Department of Justice, Wellington, 22nd March, 1893. Memorandum for Official Assignees. Advertising. I have the honour, by direction of the Minister of Justice, to transmit herewith a list of the newspapers in your district in which advertisements under the Bankruptcy Act are to be published. As a general rule advertisements are to be published once only, but in exceptional cases this may be departed from. An explanation of the special circumstances requiring more than one insertion must, however, accompany the voucher. As regards advertisements in newspapers in places not mentioned in the annexed list, Assignees must use their own discretion, but they should satisfy themselves that a majority of the creditors reside in the district in which the newspapar circulates. Claims for advertising should be sent in once a month or once a quarter, as may be more convenient, and should be accompanied by copies of the advertisements. By order. C. J. A. Haselden,
