A portrait was made of ex-King Edward VIII of England after his accession to the throne. It was displayed at the exhibition of the Royal Society of portrait Painters in London. The work is by John St. Helier Lander, and shows the ex-King in a full length pose, in the uniform of an admiral of the royal navy with the mantle of the Order of the Garter.
