NEW ROAD TO BASTION POINT FORMED.—A bulldozer, three graders and twelve motor trucks wore used at Orakei for the construction of a road from Kepa Road to Basiled Point, where the remains of the late Prime Minister, Right Hon. M. J. Savage, were laid to rest on Sunday afternoon. A large number of men were engaged to cut grass and clear up the debris In the vicinity of the grave site and to spread scoria on the new road as it was cut along Bastion Point ridge. It will not be of temporary construction, as it is later on to be included in the Bastion Point public park-scheme.
