HEDGEHOPS.

The recent floods caused a deal of damage here, and several sheep were drowned. The rapid rising of the rivers rendered all attemps to remove stock futile. Bridges and culverts on the Hedgehops and Dunsdale roads have all been damaged by the flood and require immediate attention, otherwise accidents may happen. Mr Thos. McGibbon has abandoned his sawmill area, which was surveyed some months ago. The timber which it contained did not warrant his going to any expense in erecting the plant.
