SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. A HORSE AND A SHEEP KILLED. One of the heaviest thunderstorms experienced in this district for the last 15 or 16 years visited us (reports the Winton Record) on Monday last. A horse belonging to Mr Malcolm, Gap Road, was struck dead, and at Mr Thomas Patterson’s, Hokouui, a most sensational scene was experienced. A sheep was struck dead in the yard, and as the plough-man was entering the stable the concussion of the air was so great that one of the draught horses was knocked down.
