GRANTS OF “EASY DIVORCE”

,NEW JERSEY. SUPREME COURT CONDEMNATION NEW YORK, June 19. The Supreme Court of New Jersey to-day condemned “easy divorce” States for contributing to what it termed “little less than a national scandal.”. The Court stated that the liberal provisions of a few of these Stated thwarted the efforts of most States to mainain marital responsibilities. “Matrimonial suits ought not be permitted to take on the aspects of a game in which wits, speed, daring and finesse prevail over elemental right and justice,” the Court stated. New Jersey’s highest tribunal delivered the denunciation in a judgment nullifying the effect in that State of a divorce decree granted in Florida. The wife in the case went to Florida long enough to get a decree which,' said the Court, “by no skill or deception could be got in New Jersey.”
