15 PERSONS ABOARD CARACAS (Venezuela), June 19. No word has been received from an aeroplane carrying 15 Americans to a remote Venezuelan village since the pilot reported that it was in difficulties near the Venezuelan coast 10 days agp. The aircraft, a Dakota, left Miami on June 9 with 10 adults, including the crew of three, and five children aboard. The aeroplane refuelled at Kingston, Jamaica, . five hours later, and then took off for Venezuela. Late that day the pilot reported that the aeroplane was. in difficulties near Maracaibo, but he gave no details beyond stating that lie was trying to make an emergency landing. Air officials said that the circumstances strongly suggested that the aeroplane had crashed into the sea. THREE RESCUED BY HELICOPTER NEW YORK, June 19. A helicopter descended between the mile deep walls of the Grand Canyon, Arizona, to-day, and rescued Edward Hudson, sen., who had been stranded on a rocky ledge since June 16. It was the helicopter’s third successful rescue attempt in two days. The helicopter yesterday took off Hudson’s son and the pilot of another helicopter, who crashed in a rescue effort.

Hudson’s boat was wrecked while he was shooting the Colorado river rapids.
